Psychological disorders

A psychological disorder, also known as a mental disorder, is a pattern of behavioural or psychological symptoms that impact multiple areas of life. These symptoms can include changes in mood, thoughts, and behaviour.

Psychological disorders are common and affect people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. In fact, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in four people in the world will be affected by a mental or neurological disorder at some point in their lives. Some of the most common types of psychological disorders include depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.

It is important to note that psychological disorders are not a sign of weakness or a personal failing. They are real medical conditions that can be treated with proper care and support. If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of a psychological disorder, it is important to seek professional help. With the right treatment, many people are able to manage their symptoms and lead fulfilling lives.
